Adahi Kids Childcare

Adahi Kids Childcare, located at Camp Adahi provides growth opportunities in child care programs for youth beginning at six weeks old. By taking a family-style approach, our early-childhood programs are the first steps made in building caring, confident youth and future leaders.  Our school-age and pre-school child care programs incorporate exciting learning and socialization activities.

In particular, the preschool curriculum has personal and social development and school-readiness at its center.  The lessons successfully mix fun and learning with memorable songs, practical skills, and relevant theme units.  Adahi Kids offers a full academic program, mixed with a fun-filled outdoor education that focuses on the development of the whole child.  Situated on 104 wooded acres, we take advantage of our surroundings to educate our kids about their environment.

Adahi Kids Programs:

Infant Academy – This program is for infants 6 weeks of age to one year.  Adahi Kids caring staff work with the infants on development such as grasping hand toys, sitting up, and crawling/walking.

Explorers Programs – This program is for one to two years of age. The young toddlers participate in activities that develop fine and gross motor skills like coloring and riding toys. At this time, they also start to learn their shapes and colors.

Preschool Program – This program is for children that are three years old. The older toddlers participate in fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive development.  This program helps the older toddlers with social skills and getting along with others, such as sharing. The program teaches colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.

Pre K-Kindergarten Program – This program is for the four to five year range. The child participates in fine motor, gross motor, cognitive development, and preparation for Kindergarten.  The program teaches colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and advanced level thinking such as math and writing concepts. This program also helps with social skills, and decision making such as making right and wrong choices.

Kindergarten Program – This program is for children who are in Kindergarten in the Governor Mifflin School District.  The program reinforces school lessons, including letters and numbers. The program also helps with cognitive and social development, and problem solving.

A warm and safe environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun!

Before and After School Program – This program is for children who are in 1st—6th grade in the Governor Mifflin School District.  The program allows the children to play games with one another, and learn how to get along in a mixed age group. The children have the opportunity to finish their homework with homework help from our staff.

Through Adahi Kids, the council is able to begin building assets in our youth at a fundamental age, and continue to offer relevant programs throughout their childhood.

Adahi Kids has full-time openings for infants 6 weeks—18 months, and full-time or part-time openings for 19 months—school age.  Our preschool and before/after-school care includes well-balanced snacks and meals, which is an integral part of our day.
